Nepal hosts photo exhibition to showcase beauty of Gansu

Lalitpur . Nepal hosted one-day photo exhibition entitled “Wind from the North of the Valley” showcasing rich landscape and beauty of Chinese Gansu Province in Kathmandu on Monday.

The photo exhibition, organized by Gansu Modern Photography Society, was inaugurated by Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives Indira Rana Magar.

Addressing the event, Deputy Speaker appreciated the Chinese modernization and stressed on need of learning by other countries including Nepal. Praising the economic prosperity of the northern neighbor, Magar said that the two countries can further boost the relations through cooperation in different sectors.

She also took the occasion to share about rich natural resources and beauty of Gansu province, and expressed hope that similar photo exhibition could be organized in China showcasing Nepal’s beauty in the future.

On the occasion, Wang Jian Xin, Vice Chairman of the Gansu Modern Photography Society stated that the exhibition highlights rich landscape, history, culture and daily life of Gansu Province. He also expressed hope that the exhibition will be helpful in bringing the people of two countries closer, and will boost cultural and tourism exchanges.

Dozens of colorful photos were showcased in the exhibition held inside the world heritage site Patan Durbar Square.

The event was co-organized by Nepal-China Cultural and Educational Council, Nepal-China Friendship Forum and National Forum of Photo Journalists.
